There really is some unclaimed money sitting out there waiting for just about all of us believe it or not. It may be unclaimed or uncollected funds that belong to you that never was given to you. This can be a result of any type of real estate transaction you might of been involved in, or if you attended college there may be tuition reimbursements that never was sent back to you because it was returned to the sender.
You may thinking that there never could be unclaimed money that belongs to you but you might be surprised how this comes about. If you’ve lived and had any dealings with the federal government in any way, then you may have uncollected funds that belong to you.
Have you been to the secretary of state? Do you have a drivers license? Have you had student loans? Have you ever worked before? Have you paid taxes in any way? Maybe federal taxes and social security taxes have been paid by you and you overpaid. If you file your personal taxes every year then chances are very good that you may have unclaimed money sitting there with your name on it.
I think you’re starting to see how this happens now aren’t you? The federal government is holding onto more unclaimed funds then anyone and they really don’t go out of their way to find you either to pay it back. You must do that to get it back because no one really cares about that except for the person owed the unclaimed money!
